The Order is proud to present its Information Guide on Bill 90 “An Act to amend the Professional Code and other legislative provisions as regards the health sector”
Produced by the OPDQ, the Guide relies on a consensus reached by l’Office des Professions du Québec and the support group for the establishment of Bill 90, relatively to the interpretation of the two reserved professional activities for the dietitians/nutritionists, namely the determination of the nutritional treatment plan and monitoring of the nutritional status. It is also based on the Report from ministerial group chaired by Dr. Roch Bernier.
These interpretations were recently confirmed during updates, on April 2nd and 9th 2003, of the explanatory book produced by l’Office des Professions du Québec for the concerned professional orders and employer’s associations of the health sector.
Highlighting the unique professional contribution of dietitians/nutritionist for the improvement of public health, the guide explains the impact of the new legislative provisions. It addresses OPDQ members as well as Regional Health Authorities, the general management of health establishments and social services and the medical authorities (regional medical councils, CPDP, etc.)
